DayZ - Facts about Chernarus

After adding many facts about Zombies and weird and some what plausible theories about the local infected Zed heads, I had decided to give Facts about Chernarus itself. You will notice that I did a lot of what I felt missing buildings. I have been to third world countries and even they have a US embassy, A baker and a shoe repair shop in the same town. Granted it is the same guy who doing all three but still this country Chernarus is missing too much that can only be speculated that this country had it's machinery stripped and heavily controlled by the military.


#1. There isn't any Toilet paper found in Chernarus.
I have found a few outhouses on my travels but never found any Toilet paper. 
Theory: The only thing I can think of is that this land is so poor that toilet paper is only for the rich.

#2. The rain is not drinkable.
I can run for an hour and being totally dehydrated until it started raining, I instantly stood there hoping my survivor to drink some water. Nope.

#3. Chernarus is the most liqueur free country in the world.
Every bottle is empty. They must of had a big booze up or they had used it for "medical" purposes.

#4. There are no feminine hygiene 
 Sorry ladies, it's BYO tampons when it comes to surviving in Chernarus.

#5. There are no pubs in Chernarus,
How many zeds do i have to kill to get a good drink around here? It seems to be a constant theme where the shop keepers had packed their bags, took their signs and fled the country.

#6. There are no town dumps in Chernarus.  
 They just drop it on the streets.

#7. There are no sex shops in Chernarus. 
 I swear i wasn't looking for one.

#8. There are no milking equipment for cow farms. 

#9. There are no mega-malls in Chernarus.

#10. There are no Carnivals or Amusement or Travelling circus'.

#11. There is no public library or town halls.

#11B. There are no books found.
Except news papers. 

#12. There are no fast food restaurants.
Only small restraunts and they don't have any booze either. 

#14. There are no police stations in Chernarus,  
I guess every one was on good behavior or just have enough guns to solve any crimes.

#15. There are no Star Wars, Star Trek or any American movie refences.

#16.  Hospitals do not have a ER operation table.
  
#17.  There are no postal service what so ever in Chernarus.

#18.  Chernarus does not have a weapon store,

#19. Barrels with no lids can be set on fire with out a box of matches.

#20. Rain can fall through ceilings.

#21. Rain does not put out fires.

#22. Chernarus has Slogans & Graffiti.

#23. If you can see inside building's windows, you can enter them.

#24. There are no pigeons or seagulls.

#25. There are no toys or baby clothes found ANY where.

#26. There are no ambulances or police cars. 
Note: They could be using military vehicles.

#27. There are no mansions.

#28. There are so many noises in the forest,  
As I ran through the forest, I would stop, drop and scan the area because I would hear a twig breaking or birds fluttering off. I found out that it nothing more the random sound effects

#29. Lakes and Oceans are total thieving bastards.  
Swim in any body of water and you will loose a random item or even your entire backpack.

#30. Sodas don't explode. 
You can run for miles, Go prone, beat zombies with weapons and when you open a can of your fizzy drink it doesn't burst every where.

Theory: The sodas are flat. 

#31. You can not escape from Chernarus MAHAHAHA!
*cough* Seriously, If you kept going one direction off the map, there is no invisible walls that stop you or you instantly die then you try and leave the map. What acutally happens is the land just regenerate dull green grass and you can keep going forever. There is a youtube video that this guy went to see how far he can go. He went to single player mode (none DayZ mode) and flew a plane off the map. He said it would take him 72 hours by using a land vehicle to make it that far.

#32A. There are no Round baler machines that would make the straw .
yet you can see Hay Bales (Field Bales) on the field.

#32B. There are green hay bales, 
When a Hay Bale sits too long and has been effected by the elements (the sun and rain), it dries out and turns a brownish/yellow. Yet i have seen fresh green hay bales in the field.



#33. There are no currency in Chernarus,
No money, Coins, Bills, notes, checks, heck not even an IOU can be seen in Chernarus. They must trade ammo or animals for trade.


#34A. Rain happens randomly.
I stood on top of light house and using my binoculars, scouting the land for survivors, towns, food and zeds. My graphics are are on a high setting and the skies are clear. I climbed down the light house and ran north, two minutes later I was hit by the rain.

#34B. There are no wind storms or dust storms.

#35. There are no drinking wells or water pumps.

#36. Before the Plague 
The proud people of Chernarus were divided by the civil war and its consequences. A majority of Chernarussian citizens are of Chernarussian nationality, with their own language and culture. There is also an ethnic Russian minority living mainly in the northern territories, where Russian is the second official language. People are also divided by their political alignments and sympathies.

• Certain hilltops reach an altitude of over 700m

• Military installations including large airfield
• Direction and distance signs accompanying road network
• Civilian Zombie population and wildlife
